With the planned release of “Hocus Pocus 2” at the end of
September, Rodman Public Library is getting into the Halloween spirit a little early
this year.
The library will screen the original 1993 American fantasy
comedy “Hocus Pocus” at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26 on the big screen in the
Main Auditorium. The film follows three sisters who were executed in the 17th
century for witchcraft and who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy
in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night.
Patrons are encouraged to wear their costumes to the
family-friendly, interactive event. Those attending the film will be given a
script as well as a bag of props that will enhance their viewing experience.
The movie, which is rated PG and runs 96 minutes, is
free to attend and popcorn will be provided by Friends of Rodman Public
Library. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult companion.
Registration is required.
